Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s priority is to heal our nation’s heroes— sailors, marines, soldiers, airmen, coast guardsmen—a mission since its founding in 1941. The command is comprised of the hospital, located on the banks of the St. Johns River aboard Naval Air Station Jacksonville, and five branch health clinics in Florida (Jacksonville, Key West, Mayport) and Georgia (Albany, Kings Bay). The 2,500 active-duty and civilian staff do whatever it takes to deliver the highest quality, patient and family-centered care. NH Jax stands ready to support operational missions anytime, anywhere—from disaster relief to front-line combat care. And with its community partners, NH Jax collaborates on shared local and national visions for safe, high-quality care.

The command—the fourth largest in Navy Medicine—serves 57,000 enrolled patients and expands its capacity to treat its 215,000 beneficiaries through robust partnerships with local hospitals and physicians in the TRICARE network. NH Jax provides the entire continuum of care: primary care for the whole family, a wide range of specialty services, surgery, maternity care for moms and babies, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology. Preventive care includes wellness centers, nutrition, diabetes center and a breast health center. For warfighters, NH Jax also provides aviation medicine, dive medicine, and pre- and post-deployment physical and mental health services.
